As you know Chyna died this past week and now there are news that her family want to donate her brain for CTE research. Her Manager break the news on New York Daily News. "We want to donate her brain. We want to know what made Chyna tick."
New York Daily news writer Nancy Dillion, Chyna's manager Anzaldo says that Lawyer reached to him after Chyna's death to test his interest in joining lawsuit against the WWE for concussions However, Anzaldo said neither he nor Chyna was interested in pursuing legal action, although they were both "intrigued by the science."
Dillon also reported that if Anzaldo receives permission to speak on behalf of Chyna's family, the brain will be released to Dr. Bennet Omalu, the forensic pathologist who discovered CTE and engaged in a public battle with the NFL.
"I've been told (Dr. Omalu) is calling the medical examiner to let them know the plan, so they'll be cautious with her brain," Anzaldo said, per Dillon. "We're not interested in the lawsuit at all. We're just looking for (the researchers) to give us everything they can get."
That's a good step toward the research for CTE as we reported before some other big pro wrestling names like Kevin Nash and others also donate their brain to CTE research.
